SMART Goal Setting 

Hello Friday Flexors!!

This is Amanda back at you. 

I'm here to share a little bit about goal-setting. This is a time of year for revolutions and bold statement to change. I want to share with you a tool you can use to help ensure you succeed in reaching your goal 

Before we jump into goal setting I also want to recommend you check out my episodes on the stages of change. they can also help you along your journey of transformation.

Now for goal setting. Let's talk about SMART goals. SMART is an acronym that stands for Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Time-bound. Taking time to reflect on each word that makes up SMART will help you craft a goal that is clear, measurable, and well planned out.

Let's spend a little time with each part of the acronym. 
Specific: make sure you are clear about what your goal is. 
Measurable: create specific ways to measure your progress towards your end goal. Achievable: even if it is a stretch goal, it's attainable.
Realistic: how does your goal relate to you and your purpose. 
Time-bound: create a defined start date and time and end date and time.

Spending time with each part of the acronym SMART will be a great way for you to prep for the new year and all those wonderful goals and changes you would have make in your life, big or small.
